Welcome to my new site!

It's almost the end of 2023, and it's long past time for a new web site! Just a couple of years ago, during the Covid-19 pandemic, business had slowed to a standstill, but in the past year I've had the chance to expand my portfolio and help others with their photography needs in ways I hadn't even considered. Here's some of the work I've been doing:

Houston & Charlie's Wedding

In October 2022, my friend Houston and his fiancé Charlie asked me to photograph their wedding in Atlanta. I met Houston at my rink and like me, he started figure skating as an adult. His love for the sport and his persistence have been such a great inspiration, and I was thrilled to be able to capture their big day--which was exactly a year ago today!

US Benricho Magazine Assignment

Earlier this year I was asked by New York based Y's Publishing to take photos for an interview with Mr. Brian Arnold, President of Kubota Manufacturing of America Corporation (KMA). I first met Brian when I worked at KMA as a Japanese translator over 20 years ago, so seeing him again brought back a lot of great memories. The interview was published in the 2023 edition of the Southern U.S. Benricho, a magazine for Japanese expatriates living in the Southern United States.

Atlanta Ice House

This summer I photographed the Madhatters Basic Skills Competition at the Atlanta Ice House in Marietta. It was my first time working at this rink but I had a wonderful time, thanks to the hospitality of the staff, coaches, skaters and parents.

Peach Blossom Competition

My home rink, the Atlanta IceForum, holds a basic skills competition every year called the Peach Blossom. This was my third year photographing this competition, and it just gets more fun every year.

Atlanta Open and Skate Houston

This year I worked with Melanie Heaney Photography as a second shooter at the Atlanta Open and Skate Houston competitions. Both competitions were part of the National Qualifying Series, so it was a wonderful experience.
